Our Mission

Roam Veterinary Surgery was founded in 2022 with the aim to make specialty surgical services more accessible for veterinary patients throughout Sonoma County. Roam provides concierge surgical services in partnership with local primary care veterinarians. This allows advanced surgical procedures to be performed in the comfort and familiarity of your local veterinary hospital. Your family veterinarian and Dr. Sutton will work as a team to ensure your pet is getting the specialized care they deserve.

Dr. Jessie Sutton DVM, DACVS-SA

Dr. Jessie Sutton is a board-certified small animal surgeon. She was born and raised in sunny San Diego, California. From a young age, she had a passion for animals and knew that becoming a veterinarian would be her dream career.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UCLA (go Bruins!) before moving up to northern California to attend UC Davis for veterinary school. Following veterinary school, she spent a year in Philadelphia completing a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania prior to returning to UC Davis for a residency in small animal surgery. She remained at UC Davis as a staff surgeon in the Soft Tissue Surgery Department for one year following her residency, training veterinary students and other residents.

Dr. Sutton moved to Sonoma County in 2016 and has been practicing locally ever since. In 2022, she founded Roam Veterinary Surgery, with the goal to better serve the local veterinary community by bringing specialty surgical services to general practices throughout the county. She takes pride in providing top-quality veterinary care and treats every patient with the level of care she would want for her own furry family member.

In her free time, Jessie enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors with her husband, two sons, and black Lab, Sirius, who keep her very busy!
